* Contractors must meet SRFSI and community requirements.
All homes must be of approved building materials and all homes must
pass inspections. Home must be affordable for family.
Design Your Home
New home construction in Salt River is no longer what it used to
be, it is now a custom home building process. This means that you,
as the client get to select:
- Your contractor *,
- The materials your home is built of *,
- The homes appearance/elevation,
- and the layout of your floor plan *.
There are no approved floor plans for you to choose from,
instead, you get to select the design of your home. The staff of
SRFSI, the contractor, and the draftsman/architect will help your
family create the forever home of your dreams.
We suggest that you begin by thinking about what it is that your
family will require, for example, the number of bedrooms and
bathrooms. Then you can begin the search for your sample plan.
Design Resources
Websites are great sources to help you find a floor plan you
like. There are many helpful sites which can be fun but also
tedious as they sometimes start to look the same after a while. It
can also be hard to imagine how the home would feel once all of the
walls were up. We suggest also looking at model homes in the
valley-there are television shows that showcase new homes in the
area. You can also review plan books as well as measure your
existing room size so that you can get a "visual" for the the
actual size noted on the floor plan.
